Meaningful Moment
Reaching the end of our family hike on the Iveragh Peninsula. Four days and 37 miles from Killarney to Glenbeigh.
Random Thought of the Day
Given the rain throughout the morning and the soaking ferns that caused our pants to get soaked as we slogged through them, the phrase of the day was "Embrace the suck!"
On the Road / Notable memories
Adriana calling out to Carlos that the view "over here is even better" as we descended the mountain from Windy Gap to Glenbeigh.
After we got to the hotel, got showers and got laundry done and are something, Carlos and I took a walk down to Rossbeigh Strand (Beach), about 1.5 miles from the hotel.
From there we looked out over the Atlantic ocean as we stood in the ocean breeze, taking in the salty smell and the power of the ocean. When I looked north, I saw the wondrous Dingle Peninsula which I hiked in 2019 and 2019.
During those times I often looked to the south to the Iveragh Peninsula, and wondered what was over there. Now I know.
